Partner with us to optimize your energy systems
How the program works
1. Apply for a free, no-commitment building screening
2. Review assessment proposal and Xcel Energy co-funding opportunities
3. Schedule a whole-building assessment
4. Receive a comprehensive energy management roadmap
5. Implement solutions with guidance from our team
6. Receive rebates or incentives based on implemented solutions
More information about the program
Large commercial buildings using over 750,000 kWh annually will benefit the most from the BEA program. The building must be located in Minnesota and receive commercial electric service from Xcel Energy.
CEE investigates all major energy uses in your facility to identify low- and no-cost solutions and capital improvement projects. The CEE team performs a whole-building assessment including analysis of:
- HVAC recommissioning opportunities for air-handling units including:
- Air leakage reduction
- Coil cleaning
- Economizer optimization
- Outside air reduction
- Run time reduction
- Supply air static pressure adjustments/reset
- Air temperature reset
- Variable air volume (VAV) minimum flow reduction
- Unoccupied setback
- Commercial refrigeration recommissioning opportunities
- Lighting schedule adjustments
- Cost-effective capital improvements for all major energy consuming end uses (e.g., lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, motors, etc.)
CEE engineers will spend four to six hours assessing your facility. You will receive a report detailing recommended energy efficiency projects within 60 days. Each project recommendation will include estimated energy savings and project costs, potential rebates, and a simple payback analysis.
CEE will guide you through the entire project implementation process from helping coordinate contractor bids to assisting with Xcel Energy rebate paperwork. CEE engineers will develop a customized facility guide detailing existing equipment, recommendations on best operating practices, and step by step instructions for implementing energy efficiency and conservation opportunities.
